Did WikiLeaks notify companies about the zero-day exploits before it released dump of CIA hacking tools?
Nope.
This is one of the many, many problems I have with WikiLeaks. Dumping zero-day exploits without notification is irresponsible and dangerous. The public interest is still served[1] by proper notification before disclosure.
[1] And I just realized I put “public interest” and “Wikileaks” in the same paragraph. Ha! Wikileaks talks a good game, but the only interest it serves is that of Julian Assange™ and Julian Assange’s™ ego.
And yes, Julian Assange™ really did trademark his name.
